I always say that home is where I'm not.....
When I'm here in my New York apartment, I'll say "I'm going home for spring break." When I'm in my parents' house in Lansing, Michigan, I will say, "I go home on Sunday."
I brought Zoe home to Michigan (by myself-- no husband sitting next to me to pass her to) for a week last week. We had a great time just being home. We visited with friends and family. Zoe got to really bond with her grandparents, clinging to her grandma in my absence when I was gone, and racing around after her 2 year old cousin Connor. I left her for an overnight for the first time and went to visit with friends, and we both made it without scars from the experience!

Fashion Show
Manhattan Mini Storage has some pretty funny billboards, I have to say. I saw this one today (the blue and yellow storage commercial version, like some of the ones below) and it made me laugh-- I was on the subway, playing the little inside-my-head game that I always play in the city when I don't bring a book, or when I'm walking around-- Rate Their Outfit. Do you not do this, too? Is it something everybody does? To be fair, I always rate myself, too. And I try to be sure I'm valuing all wardrobe genres.
Is this something I should not teach my baby to do? (I do not rate my baby's clothing, just fyi, if you are judging me!)
Oh, Manhattan Mini Storage, you know me so well!
